Weekly Goals:
1. Exercise three times this week
2. Try a new healthy recipe
So, I only made two goals for this week. Mainly because I wanted to make sure that I actually accomplished all my goals.....
HOWEVER, last week I did great! I exercised a lot (and vigorously) and I felt great. Even though I got sore, I felt really, really good. I also was on my period, so to get out and really push myself was even harder. But once I did it, I felt good. I ate well, too. Except on Valentine's Day when we made cookies and chocolate covered strawberries and raspberries (which I have to say were fantastic).
I tried to take good care of myself, too. Not just with eating better, but I tried to be kind to myself and didn't put myself down. I let myself have some alone time (made Dan take Kate for a couple of hours) and I did some projects I have been meaning to do for awhile. I prepared my lesson early as well.
All in all, I had a good week and hope to continue the trend. I have to admit though....I haven't weighed myself in a couple of weeks and I am scared to get on there. I have no idea what it will say. I almost want to just avoid it for a little while and then get on it again.....what do you think?

I think what you are doing is great. Taking care of yourself - I don't think you could have expressed any better what the most important part of all of this is. I vote you put off the scale for awhile. Maybe even quite awhile and judge things by how you feel, your energy level, the way your clothes fit, etc... I'm so proud of you.
I have a quick lunch recipe to share with you from the Abs Diet - one piece of whole wheat toast, two slices of deli turkey, and topped with half an avocado sliced. I am in love with it. Healthy fat - yum!
I am going to try more recipes from there so I will let you know. They have a bunch of 6-minute meals which I can totally handle!
Good luck this week.
I think it's a good idea to stay away from the scale for a while too - the important thing is how you're feeling about yourself and not some dumb number. Let your energy level, etc. tell you how you're doing instead. Keep it up - I'll be joining you in about 3 months with goals, etc!
i will post some recipes for you gals to try.
and i totally agree on skipping the scale. those 5 lb. fluxuations are so hard to watch, it makes me frustrated.
good job this week jen!
love you.
If this comment is a duplicate...sorry. I agree with Jo though about the scale and feeling good! I also think the choco covered strawberries and raspberries were delish!!
